Take part in our new Sector Scorecard for supported housing

26 June 2020

In 2018 the government set out plans to increase the oversight and scrutiny of supported and sheltered housing in the light of the decision to continue paying the housing costs for schemes through Housing Benefit. MHCLG and DWP Ministers set out a commitment to work with the sector on the design of the new system.

A small group of supported housing providers – alongside Housemark, Acuity and the NHF – agreed to develop and pilot a new Sector Scorecard for supported housing, which would allow providers to be more transparent on costs and better demonstrate efficiency and value for money. The steering group, coordinated by Home Group, had aimed to start the pilot for the Sector Scorecard at the beginning of March, but this was paused in light of the coronavirus crisis.

We can confirm that the first larger-scale pilot will now start in the autumn, and we need as many providers as possible to take part: the more organisations that provide data then the more robust the overall figures will be.

If your organisation runs sheltered or supported housing and is interested in taking part please contact supportedscorecard@homegroup.org.uk.
