Update on funding and staffing costs for supported housing providers

17 April 2020

We are working with MHCLG to clarify whether housing associations and small supported and sheltered housing providers in particular will be eligible for funding through the charities rescue fund announced by the government last week.

Although housing providers were not explicitly mentioned in the press release announcing the fund, we know that NHF members deliver many of the essential frontline services that were listed. We will continue to work with government departments to ensure that smaller supported and sheltered housing providers are able to access the funding they need to keep these services running

MHCLG have asked for evidence of increased costs for housing associations, especially staffing costs. If you have feedback which you have not already shared with us on staffing issues in your organisations and the costs of backfilling vacancies please get in touch.
