Update on the availability of PPE for our sector

01 May 2020

We know that PPE availability is still a major area of concern for some of our members. While we recognise that shortages are affecting many sectors at present – and that the NHS and social care workers must take priority – we are also working hard to manage shortages in our sector.

Thank you to everyone who has informed us on the use and availability of PPE within your organisations. We are working with a small group of members to create an evidence base around the availability of PPE over time and its impact on housing associations' activities.

This evidence base will be used in our regular conversations with government departments and will help us ensure that frontline staff working with vulnerable clients in supported housing settings have enough PPE to carry out their jobs safely.

You can read more about the latest government guidance on settings where there is a clinical need for PPE. If you have any further questions or comments please contact us.
