Building safety resident engagement webinar

24 June 2022

We know ensuring that residents are safe, and feel safe, in their homes is a priority for all housing associations. The Building Safety Act sets out a range of new responsibilities for owners of high-rise buildings, including adopting a resident engagement strategy that enables residents to participate in decisions about the safety risks in their building.

Supporting our members to develop their building safety resident engagement strategies, encouraging collaboration, developing good practice, and creating a culture of safety in the sector is a priority for the NHF. We know resident engagement is an important area that members are keen to improve and adopt best practice from across the sector.

This webinar is aimed at supporting building safety, asset management, and resident engagement leads within housing associations.

It covers the following areas:

  • Policy context including requirements set out in the Building Safety Act and Social Housing White Paper.
  • Expectations of the Building Safety Regulator and other stakeholders.
  • Lessons learned from the NHF’s Together with Tenants initiative.
  • Housing associations discussing their approaches to building safety resident engagement.
