NHF joins a new coronavirus housing and employment taskforce

We’re joining leaders from across the housing and employment sector to support people impacted by coronavirus.

A new Coronavirus Housing and Employment Taskforce has launched, bringing together leaders from across the housing and employment sectors to work with the government and policymakers.

The new taskforce will provide a joined-up focus on employment-related solutions for social housing residents impacted by the coronavirus crisis. It will also facilitate clear lines of communication between sectors, policymakers and government departments such as the DWP.

It will be chaired by Lynsey Sweeney, Managing Director of Communities that Work,  Alongside the NHF, members include:

  • Lord Kerslake
  • Communities that Work
  • National Federation of ALMOs (NFA)
  • Centre for Excellence in Community Investment (CECI)
  • Learning and Work Institute (LWI)
  • Employment Related Services Association (ERSA)
  • Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP)
  • Impetus
  • Institute for Employment Studies
  • The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) as a consultation partner.
