Rural Housing Week

Rural Housing Week is an annual campaign to showcase the fantastic work that housing associations do in rural communities. The most recent Rural Housing Week took place from 5-9 July 2021.

The theme was committed to rural communities – highlighting rural housing associations' dedication to providing affordable homes that people love and that keep vital rural services alive. Now, more than ever, rural housing associations are committed to their communities and to working together to help them thrive. Rural Housing Week 2021 was a celebrattion of that.

Thank you

Thank you to everyone who helped make Rural Housing Week 2021 a success. The range of case studies, blogs, quotes and photographs shared during the week highlighted how now, more than ever, rural housing associations are committed to their communities and to working together to help them thrive.

On Wednesday 7 July 2021, we hosted a webinar during which the Rural Housing Alliance shared their revised rural pledge underlining their commitment to working in partnership with local communities. They also introduced the newly published Parish Councillors’ Guide to Rural Affordable Housing, and shared examples of how they are working with parish councils and other partners to put that commitment into practice.
