Next steps following the Grenfell Tower Inquiry

03 April 2025

This webinar provided housing associations with an opportunity to hear more from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government about the government’s plans for regulating building safety, ensuring resident involvement and improving the quality of homes.

The Grenfell Tower Inquiry concluded that the tragic deaths of the 72 people who died as a result of the fire were avoidable. The National Housing Federation (NHF) and our members are committed to learning lessons from the tragedy and to ensure that such an event can never take place again.

The government has published its response to the Inquiry, accepting all of the recommendations and setting out what action it will take forward.
